The purpose of receiving a KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) treatment is to permanently destroy a percentage of the fat cells under the chin (improving your profile) or any other pocket of treatment subcutaneous fat. KYBELLA is the only FDA-approved cosmetic injection indicated for the improvement and appearance of submental fullness associated with submental fat in adults. As reported in the literature, KYBELLA® injected into other pockets of fat will also decrease fat volume, but the FDA has not approved those uses. The results of KYBELLA® are usually dramatic, although the practice of medicine is not an exact science and no guarantees can be or have been made concerning expected results
